Penetrating argument involves arrow

The Whitefish Police Department is investigating a fight between roommates that resulted in one of the men being stabbed with an arrow. Police Chief Bill Dial said it is still unclear whether the man might have fallen on the arrow. The incident occurred during an argument between the roommates.

A woman reported a “horrible rotting smell” that smelled like “a rotting body” coming from a subdivision near Lacy Lane. The awful smell led to the discovery of a deer carcass in a swampy area nearby.

An extremely drunk man was arrested by a Flathead County Sheriff’s Office deputy for partner or family member assault and disorderly conduct after stabbing furniture and walls of a Van Sant Road home before bashing the brand new floor and throwing things around and out a window, then pounding on his neighbor’s windows and threatening to kill her. He had been reported earlier that night for acting “strung out,” running around in his underwear screaming, yelling and throwing things.

A representative from a Montana 40 West business volunteered to arrange a meeting with area residents after several neighbors complained about loud noise from a facility built at the back of the business’s property where rifles are fired off in the afternoon.

An East Evergreen Drive resident returned from a camping trip to discover someone had broken into her house, stealing a change box but leaving several other items on the lawn when scared by a neighbor’s dog. The burglar broke a door and window.

A deputy apprehended a boy and took him to speak with his parents after several elementary school-aged youths were reported throwing rocks at each other and “dropping the F-bomb left and right” at a park and then refusing to stop when asked.

A Brunner Road resident reported her neighbor was throwing barbed wire into her pasture and that she was concerned the wire would injure her horses. She and her neighbor were counseled and agreed to work it out on their own.

A Rhodes Draw man shooting gophers out of his neighbor’s pasture while sitting on his porch was agreeable when asked to stop shooting into the neighboring field.

A pair of boys were taken to the principal’s office of a Commerce Street middle school after showing up under the apparent influence of an intoxicant.
