Man ran on foot after chase
Flathead County Sheriff’s Office were unable to locate a man who bailed from his vehicle and ran after fleeing the scene of an accident on U.S. 93 South. The man hit a woman’s vehicle while driving his pickup truck and then fled while pursued by a concerned motorist who reported the man was driving 80 miles per hour, running stoplights, driving over grass and eventually losing control of his truck in a field, where he abandoned it.
A drunk 60-year-old man was reported to police for getting angry and screaming at his 22-year-old son for “eating all the salsa.” The frustrated father was not cooperative with a deputy, and the son agreed to find somewhere to go until his father went to bed.
A pair of drunk roommates drew a law enforcement response when one reported the other kicked through the wall and the door and that he was upset because the other wouldn’t pay rent and took all of his beer. The men were separated.
A two-and-a-half foot tall black ceramic Labrador retriever statue was stolen from the front yard of a Grand Drive home in Bigfork.
Kalispell Police Department determined that a man’s report that there were two men in his vehicle on Fourth Avenue East was due to the man’s “seeing a reflection of something other than humans in his vehicle.”
A boy previously reported as a runaway was arrested and transported to the Flathead County Juvenile Detention Center after being reported walking down Third Street East wearing a tuxedo T-shirt and “higher than a kite.” He was apprehended following a brief foot chase.
A man reported playing with silverware on the ground outside an East Center Street apartment complex was found not to be illicitly inebriated, just “happy on his medication.”
A man agreed to return a dog to its owner, his ex, after stealing the dog from the woman while she was walking it on Sunnyside Drive.
A dog reported hit by a vehicle on Northern Lights Boulevard, and also found to have been shot, was taken to a pet emergency center.
A woman was “delivered to her residence” after being reported as heavily intoxicated in an Airport Road bar.
A Whitefish Police Department officer arrested one youth and transported two others to the police station after a Colorado Avenue resident reported the youths smoking marijuana under a nearby deck, and that it was not the first time.
A shoplifter was reported putting packages of sliced meat and cheese in his sweater at a U.S. 93 South store.
A Columbia Falls Police Department officer responded twice to a Fifth Street West property, first for a report of a large glass window broken out with, possibly, a beer bottle, then again when a blood trail was located leading from the broken window down the sidewalk and across the street.
