Vets gives kudos to Montana VA
I see that the Montana VA health director has resigned, possibly in the wake of the national dissatisfaction with the VA health system which has been in the headlines recently.
So, for what it’s worth, I’d like to let people know that at least this old soldier is extremely satisfied with the care I have received down at the Kalispell clinic.
Full disclosure: I also receive Tricare for Life, and only use the Kalispell VA Clinic for referrals to care not available through Tricare: eyeglasses and hearing aids. To obtain a referral for these, the veteran must receive a thorough physical examination. And whenever I have used their services I have found my assigned physician, Dr. Barren, to spend time with me and provide a thorough physical exam.
The office is well run, the staff are very pleasant, and waiting is kept to a minimum by efficient scheduling.
I am sure that there are problems within the VA system but we vets should be very grateful that the Kalispell clinic is exceptional.
