Montana candidates to debate on Saturday

The first U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives candidate debates of the general-election season will be Saturday in Butte.

The debates will be held in the Library Auditorium at Montana Tech in Butte on Saturday afternoon, June 14.

The Senate debate will begin at 1:30 p.m., followed by the House debate at 3:30 p.m.

The debates will be live-streamed on the Daily Inter Lake website, www.dailyinterlake.com.

The debates will be recorded and broadcast on MontanaPBS on Sunday, June 15: the House debate at 5 p.m. and the Senate at 6:30 p.m.

The debates are free and open to the public. Seating is limited.

The debates are sponsored by the Montana Newspaper Association and Montana PBS.
