A murder south of Ronan Saturday evening left law enforcement searching for a 53-year-old man in Lake and Flathead Counties.

Karen Sargeant of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office reported Harry Lozeau was being sought as the suspect in the murder of a man that happened in the Mollman Pass area some time after 4 p.m.

Lozeau is described as Native American, standing 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 165 pounds with dark hair and a mustache. He was last seen driving a brown 1983 Plymouth Reliant with the license plate 15-6369C.

“The public is encouraged not to approach him but to call law enforcement, 911, immediately,” Sargeant said.

Scanner traffic indicated the suspected weapon in the murder was a rifle.
