Man pleads not guilty in bar incident
A Cushing, Oklahoma, man has pleaded not guilty to felony aggravated assault after an incident outside a local bar.
Jeremy Cole, 31, entered the plea Thursday in Flathead District Court.
A court document states a man told police he was standing outside the Scoreboard Pub and Casino talking with Cole when he suddenly felt pain in his face and lost consciousness, and that when he regained consciousness he was on the ground and in pain.
A witness reportedly told police Cole had punched the man in his face, and an officer found blood — along with two of the victim’s teeth — on the ground.
Cole is currently incarcerated in the Flathead County Detention Center, where his bond is set at $25,000.
If convicted, he faces up to 20 years in the Montana State Prison and a fine of up to $50,000.
His next hearing is set for July 16.
