Rainfall shatters weather record in Flathead Valley

A wet, wet day in Northwest Montana was a record-breaker for rainfall.

Steady rain Tuesday shattered the Kalispell precipitation record for June 17, with 1.74 inches recorded at Glacier Park International Airport .

The old record was 1.13 inches set in 2010.

Kalispell was not alone in being drenched. Here are some other precipitation totals Tuesday:

Creston: 2.12 inches

Hungry Horse: 1.66 inches

West Glacier: 1.77 inches

Many Glacier: 3.9 inches

Goat Haunt: 4.64 inches

St. Mary: 3.55 inches

Swan Lake: 1.65 inches
