Morley takes to national stage
Weeks after claiming two state titles, Bigfork distance runner Makena Morley is taking her talents to the national stage.
Last weekend, Morley impressed the national running scene at the New Balance Outdoor National Championships in Greensboro, North Carolina.
In the 3200-meter run, Morley posted a time of 10:22.17 for a second place finish.
Connecticut’s Hanah Debalsi won the race, crossing the finish line just 13 seconds ahead of Morley.
Morley also competed in the 5000-meter run, finishing in fifth place with a time of 16:49.74.
She’ll be back at it again this weekend, heading to Seattle for the Brooks PR Invitational, an invite-only meet for the nations top high school runners.
