Former ExpoPark workers got $85,000 in settlements

GREAT FALLS (AP) — Cascade County has settled three wrongful termination or discrimination claims by former Montana ExpoPark employees for a total of $85,000 while a fourth former employee is seeking $150,000 in a discrimination case.

County commissioners said the cost of the settlements was one of the reasons it fired ExpoPark general manager Lisa Bracco in May. She was later allowed to resign in exchange for dropping her wrongful discharge lawsuit.

The Great Falls Tribune reports one woman received $50,000 in an age discrimination claim, a wrongful termination case was settled for $35,000 and another discrimination case filed by a summer employee was settled for $750. The fourth employee claims he was harassed and bullied over an anxiety disorder.

ExpoPark is a county-owned facility that hosts the Montana State Fair, concerts and other events.
