William R. 'Bill' Hodge, 95
William R. "Bill" Hodge was born May 25, 1919, in Alfalfa, Okla., to Benjamin Harrison Hodge and Opal Phippany Hodge. He died almost one month after his 95th birthday on June 23, 2014, at North Valley Hospital following an accidental fall in his home. His family takes great comfort in knowing that Bill is now with his heavenly Father.
He grew up in a happy home in Carnegie, Okla., with his four sisters and one brother.
Bill married his high school sweetheart, Euna Faye Garner. They would have celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary this September. He went to business college in Anadarko, Okla., but then later graduated from the Bible Institute of Los Angles and became an ordained minister. He and Euna ministered in churches in Oregon, California, Idaho and Montana. They had three children, Ron, Royce and Roberta. He performed the marriages and baptisms for several of his children and grandchildren.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, one brother, one grandson, and one great-grandson.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Euna, of Timbercreek Village in Columbia Falls; one sister, Opal Lavell, of Oklahoma; and children, Ron of John Day, Ore., Royce and Diana of Saratoga, Wyo., and Jon and Roberta Shandorf of Kalispell; along with eight grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Bill's graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, June 27, at Glacier Memorial Gardens in Kalispell, followed by a luncheon downstairs at Sykes’.
