Thanks for help in saving home from fire
We want to thank the wonderful men and women from the Creston, Bigfork, and Ferndale Firehalls who volunteer their time in our community to help people in distress.
Last month, our garage started on fire due to a broken glass vase refracting the sun on paper in the garbage can, igniting the entire garage, eventually going up into the attic and creeping its way into our attached house. Had it not been for the fast response of the three fire halls, our entire house would be gone.
Although we live in a very rural area, it was only about 12-15 minutes until the first fire engine showed up! In all, at least six fire trucks and about 20 firemen showed up, and worked quickly and professionally to stop the spread of the fire. These firemen left their jobs and homes to VOLUNTARILY help us.
Our community can be very proud of the volunteers who man the fire halls. THANK YOU for saving our home, and for your concern exhibited to us. —Bill and Alana Myers, Bigfork
