Thanks for the open exchange of ideas, opinions
Many people have a misconception that their opinion matters more than it does. It’s part of our self-centered society, the vast majority of which has an opinion that may not be “need to know” knowledge.
A small fraction of people do have wisdom to share, but unfortunately a good percentage of those people never try to be heard. An opinion is nonetheless a valuable thing; it allows us to pass on our thoughts and ideas with other people. Usually we share them because we think we are right or are an authority on the subject matter. Right or wrong, an opinion and the courage to share it is a respectable thing.
Thanks to Frank Miele and the Daily Inter Lake and all the fellow citizens with their eyes on the community, minds on society and words on paper. We are fortunate to have a community where things like an opinion section of the daily newspaper are still read and followed. We are fortunate to have a community that is still small enough to be connected where people have enough heart to treat people like people, not an enemy or stranger.
For all the years that fell before us, we have a lot of change and growth in the future, but as for today... we still have a home where a small thing like an opinion still matters. —Chris Hall, Kalispell
