Girl, 11, wins pageant
Esmeralda Ramos of Kila won the pre-teen division of America’s Super Pageant on Sunday.
After competing against two other contestants in little black dress and evening gown and speaking on seat-belt safety, the 11-year-old was crowned at the pageant in Hamilton.
As part of her pageant responsibilities, Ramos will make a minimum of 12 appearances to talk about seat-belt safety. Schools or organizations interested in having a presentation by Ramos may email rjramos2002@hotmail.com.
Ramos also won a separate online essay contest called Pageant Gal in the preteen division.
Ramos’ grandmother, Connie Jones, 57, was first runner-up in the classic division of America’s Super Pageant.
