Gail Y. Johnsrud, 77, of Kalispell, passed away of cancer, Saturday, June 28, 2014, in Missoula, surrounded by her loving family.

Gail was born on April 2, 1937, in International Falls, Minn. Her family moved to Whitefish in 1950. She attended Whitefish High School and graduated in 1955.

She married Jack Frazier on Dec. 1, 1956. Jack and Gail had three children, Kimberly Ray, Samuel Jake and Robert Scott Frazier. The family moved to California in 1959 and lived there until they moved to Polson in 1974. Jack and Gail later divorced.

Gail met and married Leon Johnsrud in 1989. She and Leon had great amounts of fun together traveling around the United States. Gail and Leon moved to Kalispell in 1997. They later divorced.

Gail loved to laugh. Her most valued treasures in life were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gail had lifelong friends from her Whitefish High School days that she enjoyed throughout her life. She loved the monthly “all class luncheons” that they faithfully had.

Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Lillian Raymond; her brothers, Wally Raymond and Rick Raymond; sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Obi Tu; and ex-husband, Jack Frazier.

Survivors include Gail’s daughter, Kimberly Ray, her husband Michael and their children, Danielle and Kenneth Roth; Gail’s son, Samuel Jake Frazier, his daughter Nicole Hendrix and her son Jalen, as well as Sam's son SSG Jamie Frazier and his two children, Devon and Hailee Frazier; Gail's son Robert Scott Frazier, his wife Teresa, and their children Sgt. Tyler Frazier and Shelby Frazier; Gail's sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Carl Cooley; sister and brother-in-law, Romelle and Bill Johnston; and sister-in-law, Arlene Raymond; along with many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice of Missoula in honor of Gail.
