'Willy Wonka' at Kalispell Middle School

| March 6, 2014 10:44 AM

The classic story of “Willy Wonka” comes to life on the Kalispell Middle School stage this weekend. A caring young boy named Charlie Bucket and a group of eccentric children find golden tickets in “Wonka” chocolate bars and win the chance of a lifetime — to meet the greatest candy maker of all time, Willy Wonka.

Directed by Tracy Snipstead and Kacie West, the sixth- , seventh- and eighth-grade actors bring to life well-known songs such as “Pure Imagination”, “Cheer Up, Charlie” and “I've Got a Golden Ticket” that share with the audience the joys of childhood and having a dream.

All performances are at the Kalispell Middle School Cafetorium and will be Friday at 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m., and Sunday at 2:30 p.m.  Tickets are $6 at the door.
