Eugene Lloyd Woody Jr., 82
Eugene Lloyd Woody Jr., 82, passed away after a brief illness on March 1, 2014, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center.
Woody was born July 15, 1931, in St. Maries, Idaho. He graduated from Flathead County High School in 1951 and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
He was salesperson and held many professions throughout his working career.
Woody’s passion in life was barbershop performing and coaching. He was a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society for 54 years and traveled extensively across the U.S. and Canada performing in choruses.
He was a member of the Amputee Coalition of America and started a local chapter in Kalispell. Woody actively worked with new amputees to help them adjust to losing a limb. He was also an active member of his Baptist church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Lloyd Woody and Frances Martha LaGault.
Woody is survived by his sons, Eugene Lee Woody and Ronald Ray Woody Stiffler; daughter, LouAnn Ray Woody; grandchildren, Macie and Stevie Woody, Allie Stiffler, and Amber Lynn and Brittnay Nicole Woody; and a great-grandson, Tayshawn Woody.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 15, at New Covenant Church, 436 Birch Grove Road, in Kalispell.
