Gary Lee Bocksnick, 71

Gary Lee Bocksnick, 71, passed away March 6, 2014, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center from pulmonary fibrosis.

Gary was born March 31, 1942, in Polson to Herb and Edna Bocksnick. He was raised in the Pablo and Ronan area and graduated from Ronan High school in 1960. The highlight of his high school years was being a member of the Ronan High School State Championship Basketball Team his senior year.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edna and Herb.

Survivors include his wife, Melanie, and son JP, Mike Bocksnick, Kathy Schwartz, and Lori Black who blessed him with six grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Randy Bocksnick and his wife Barbara; his sister, Rhonda and her husband Jerry Emerson; stepmother, Dorothy Bocksnick; and stepsisters, Mindy, Bev and Sandy. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive him.

Gary enjoyed and had a successful career of 50-plus years in the insurance business. He had a gift of gab and was a remarkable salesman. At the time of his death he was an agent for Farmers Union Insurance in Kalispell.

No formal services will be held but there will be a celebration of life gathering for family and friends at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12 at the home of Bev and Dan Luedtke, 34951 Creekside Lane in Ronan.

Gary’s enthusiastic spirit and zest for life are gifts he passed on to his family. He will be greatly missed.
