Wildcats win: Columbia Falls new Class A basketball champions

GREAT FALLS — Fourth-ranked Columbia Falls knocked off top-ranked Dillon 56-47 in the Class A boys basketball state championship game on Saturday evening at Four Seasons Arena.

The Wildcats (19-4) led by as many as 11 points in the fourth quarter to finish the season with an eight-game winning streak.

Dillon (20-3) did not compete at state last year.

Columbia Falls, third in 2013, has won six straight state tournament trophies.

The Wildcats were state champions in 2011.
