Death Cafe invitation
I was pleased to see the Feb. 25 article on Death Cafe in the Active Seniors section. Death Cafe is a nonprofit, international movement started in England in 2011. The purpose is to gather for respectful, open dialog about all aspects of death and dying. It’s neither a bereavement group nor a place to proselytize, just a time to enjoy insightful conversation over tea and light refreshments.
I have held two successful Death Cafes in Whitefish, with another coming up on Monday, March 31, from 7-9 p.m. at the Bohemian Grange Hall, 125 Blanchard Lake Road (behind Montana Coffee Traders on U.S. 93). All adults are invited — you don’t need to be a senior!
I encourage anyone interested in the Death Cafe concept to go to the website www.deathcafe.com. Or you can call me at 257-1840 with questions.
