Elvis comes to life in Bigfork
Ryan Pelton returns to the Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts to perform as Elvis in “Pieces Of My Life .... The King and Me” on April 5 at 2 p.m.
Pelton has sold out the Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts in two previous engagements, and in this show will be playing songs from his new movie “The Identical.” The film stars Pelton (known as actor Blake Rayne for the role), Ashley Judd and Ray Liotta, Seth Green and Joe Pantoliano.
The show will also feature some duets with special guest D'arcy Park. The tour comes right before Pelton heads to the Nashville Film Festival, April 17-26. The Nashville-centered movie “The Identical” will be the opening film for the event and this will be its world premiere.
“The Identical” is the story of a young couple, who give birth to identical twin boys in the depths of the Great Depression. Unable to care for both, the couple gives one son to be raised and adopted by an evangelist minister and his wife. The film tells the story of the separated twins, Drexel Hemsley and Ryan Wade. Despite their very different upbringings, the boys’ shared passion for music causes their lives to unknowingly intersect as they experience a powerful and mysterious connection often felt by twins.
One of the boys becomes the most famous rock ‘n' roll legend in the world, Drexel Hemsley, while Ryan Wade struggles to find balance between his love for music and trying to please his evangelist father (Liotta) and his devoted mother (Judd) who have very different plans for his life in the ministry.
General admission tickets for “Pieces of My Life” are $26, which includes a $1 theater restoration fee, and are on sale at Electric Ave Gifts in Bigfork, Snappy Sport Senter in Kalispell and www.EasyTik.com
