Pirates roll past Hamilton, Libby in tennis openers

POLSON — The magic number for Polson on Saturday in dual tennis action with Libby and Hamilton was six.

The Pirates, boys and girls, all won their matches by 6-1 scores.

“It was a real good day considering how young we are,” Polson coach Bob Hislop said of his girls.

“Mollybeth Hendrix, Shawna Oakley and Taylor Rost had big days. All won two matches.”

“Dylan (McCrumb) and Brady (Hislop) dominated today,” he said.

McCrumb, playing in the Nos. 1-2 singles spots, won 6-0, 6-0 and 6-0, 6-1, while Hislop, also in Nos. 1-2, won twice by 6-0, 6-0 scores.

Polson hosts Bigfork and Corvallis on Saturday.
