Girl wisely refuses ride from strange man

A woman called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office Sunday from the Rogers Lake Road area to report that a strange man in a green truck attempted to lure her 12-year-old daughter to get into the truck, but the girl ran home instead.

An Addison Trail resident said that a group of people on four-wheelers were chasing her cattle.

A woman calling from Cheery Lynn Court wanted assistance getting her unwanted ex-boyfriend to leave. The man eventually left.

A woman calling from Springhill Road wanted help because her boyfriend accidentally swallowed some brake fluid.

There was a call from Pleasant Valley Road about a truck being broken into with some prescription medication stolen.

A man calling from Pleasant Lane complained about people riding a four-wheeler near his house. It turned out the riders were on their own property, and after the reporting party made threats, he was advised there would be consequences if he caused a disturbance.

A bartender calling from a Montana 35 bar in Evergreen requested assistance with a group of extremely intoxicated people who were causing a disturbance after he refused to serve them.

Kalispell police got a report Sunday about a man who was passed out near a business on First Avenue West North. Employees wanted assistance in getting rid of the man because they did not want to go near him.

A bicycle was damaged during an unsuccessful attempt to steal it from a residence on Seventh Avenue West.

After crashing his vehicle into a pole near a North Meridian Road convenience store, a man was arrested for drunk driving.

A Hawthorn Avenue resident said a mailbox had been vandalized. Another mailbox was vandalized on the same street. 

On Monday, a woman calling from Fourth Avenue West said teenagers who live nearby were throwing fireworks at her grandchildren.

After a man left an East Idaho Street restaurant without paying $40 for food, he was located and arrested for theft, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

Whitefish police got a report Sunday from a woman who said an intoxicated man mistakenly got into her vehicle and was being verbally abusive to her before he got into another vehicle and drove off.
