Project Whitefish hosts it 25th annual Hawaiian Wine and Food Fest from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, at Grouse Mountain Lodge in Whitefish. Hawaiian attire is encouraged.

A sampling of foods from local restaurants including The Grill at Grouse, Latitude 48, Tupelo Grille, The Simple Chef, Cafe Kandahar and Whitefish Lake Restaurant will be served, along with fine wines and beer from Great Northern Brewery.

Silent and live auctions highlight the evening. The live auction begins at 7:30 p.m. and includes fine art, golfing, garden and home decorating packages, wine, restaurant and health certificates, fishing and hiking events and two weeklong getaway packages in Sedona and Tucson, Ariz. Three fun local items are a ride with a Whitefish policeman, a fire truck ride to school and a car detail from the Whitefish mayor and a city councilman.

Tickets are $60, available at the Village Shop, Imagination Station, Towne Printer and the O’Shaughnessy Center. Table for 10 may be sponsored for $600. Tickets may also be purchased online at www.whitefishtheatreco.org or call 862-5371. Seating is limited to 200.

The event is a fundraiser for both the Whitefish Theatre Co. and Project Whitefish Kids, the organization that manages Smith Fields. This is the largest fundraiser of the year for both organizations.
