Ruth Handford Scruggs, 86

Ruth Handford Scruggs, 86, died April 30, 2014, in McCrory, Ark.

She was born Oct. 3, 1927, in St. Ignatius to Henry and Ruth Handford. The family moved to Kalispell in the early 1940s where Ruth attended schools and graduated from Flathead County High School in 1945.

She lived in California and Arkansas.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ralph Handford; sister, Beryl Overton; and husband, Morris Scruggs.

She is survived by her brother, Jim Handford, of Kalispell; and stepdaughter, JoAnne Schaffer, and husband, Gary, of California.

Interment will be in McCrory, next to her husband Morris.
