A 'weird' collision of lifestyles in driveway

A Prairie View Road resident contacted the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office after returning home to find a couple in a vehicle parked in his driveway “having intimate relations.” When the resident confronted them, the man said it was weird that he was watching them having sex. The resident retorted that it was weird that they were having sex in his driveway.

A woman was arrested for drunk driving after first driving and then parking in the oncoming lane of traffic on U.S. 2 West without her headlights on, although at one point they were reportedly flashing on and off. A deputy caught up with the woman after another motorist got her to pull over.

The landlord of a First Avenue East North property called for assistance after he discovered the tenant had changed the deadbolt without his permission and no one would answer the door. A responding deputy helped the landlord get inside using a sledgehammer. No one was inside.

A Harmony Road man was warned about his behavior and advised to contact law enforcement the next time he was upset at his neighbor’s child, rather than screaming obscenities at her.

A protective parent on Alpha Road in Hungry Horse reported his daughter’s ex-boyfriend after the boy started to make comments about how he would like to see the daughter in a ditch.

A horse trailer reported stolen from Star Meadows Road was found to have actually been towed at the request of the Montana Highway Patrol.

A very drunk man was advised to get a ride home after he was reported to the Kalispell Police Department for spinning brodies on Third Avenue East, almost hitting a person, then walking into a U.S. 93 South bar with a golf club in his hand. The reporting party said he caught the man on video spinning in his vehicle.

A man agreed never to return to a U.S. 93 South bar after being seen drinking whiskey in his truck, urinating in a cup, then throwing it out, all while in the bar’s parking lot.

The principal of a Fourth Avenue East elementary school reported a registered sex offender was playing with children on the playground.

A grumbling grandparent reported a 5-year-old girl for assault after the girl slapped the person’s 10-year-old granddaughter.

A man refused medical attention after a woman backed over him as he was walking along Third Avenue East North.


A man contacted the Whitefish Police Department after witnessing a pair of men acting strangely and going into a handicapped restroom at a convenience store. The man said he had no reason to believe they were doing anything wrong, only that they seemed “shady.”

An officer gave a drunk man a ride after finding him hanging out near the library shortly before 2 a.m.

A Columbia Falls Police Department officer counseled a motorist on his driving habits and a youth about his behavior after the boy jumped out of the truck while it was moving.
