Daines supports healthy forest management

In many forested counties across Montana, we fear wildfires that will bring total devastation to our communities, watersheds and wildlife. That is why I appreciate Steve Daines’ efforts during his first term in Congress to protect our state.

He helped introduce the Restoring Healthy Forests and Healthy Communities Act, which will work to reduce burn hazard and create a healthy habitat for Montana’s precious wildlife. In addition, the proper care of the forest will bring much needed revenue to counties in Montana who struggle with unemployment rates in the double-digits.

This is the kind of balance we need to bring to our counties and our state. Thank you, Congressman Steve Daines, for caring about the livelihood of our communities and the health of Montana’s forests.
