A report of criminal mischief received by the Whitefish Police Department turned out to be a misdirected attempt at revenge due to an earlier incident. An East Second Street resident reported someone threw a ball through the bedroom window and damaged the front yard, although the resident didn’t see anyone running away. A little more than an hour later, a neighbor who tends bar at a Central Avenue establishment shared his belief the act was likely meant for him due to cutting off a man at the bar who then threatened the bartender, saying he knew where the bartender lived and that he would get back at him.
A Colorado Avenue woman reported someone shot a BB gun at her vehicle.
An upset South Fork Road resident in Martin City complained to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office about his neighbor’s numerous Guinea hens, which he said wandered into the road causing motorists to have to slam on their brakes. He also referred to them as “bear bait” because they are not penned up.
A Bigfork father on Terrace Hill reported his children for entering a neighbor’s home and putting soap on the windows, asking for a deputy to come talk to them about vandalism.

The Columbia Falls Police Department located a stolen vehicle during a traffic stop on Nucleus Avenue, but when the owner was contacted, he was found to be drunk. He was advised to have a sober friend pick up the vehicle for him.
