A Kalispell man has been given a 10-year, suspended sentence after pleading guilty to felony criminal child endangerment.

Larry Baker, 39, was sentenced Thursday by District Judge David Ortley during Flathead District Court proceedings.

He originally was charged with three counts of the crime after being caught on Oct. 4, 2013, driving drunk with three children, all under the age of 12, in the vehicle with him.

Baker was stopped by a Flathead County deputy who had received a report of a physical disturbance inside the vehicle, which turned out to be only an argument between him and another adult passenger. He admitted to the deputy he had been drinking and failed a breath-alcohol test and field-sobriety tests.
