Glacier's Sherman clears school record 15-0 in vault

COLUMBIA FALLS — Lonnie Sherman, a senior at Glacier High School, continues to soar to new heights.

Thursday afternoon in a track dual with Columbia Falls, he cleared 15 feet to take first place in the pole vault and break the school record for the second time this month. Sherman held the old mark at 14-6.

Double winners at the non-scoring dual were: Mike Sandefer, Columbia Falls, 200 (24.12) and 400 (53.39); Austin Cook, Glacier, long jump (21-6 1/4) and triple jump (40-3 1/2); and Shauna Williams, Glacier, 200 (27.52) and discus (115-0).
