Kathryn Kay Nightingale, 67

Kathryn Kay Nightingale, 67, passed away May 1, 2014, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center, due to COPD.

She was born June 20, 1946, in Manilla, Iowa.

In 1978 Kathryn married James Nightingale in Omaha, Neb. She worked for 21 years at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha as a scrub technician. She later worked as a waitress.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lena and Wilbur Schwieso; brother, Gary Schwieso; sister, Janice Morman; and husband, James Nightingale.

Kathryn is survived by her brothers, Roger and Connie Schwieso of Harlan, Iowa, and Dennis Schwieso of Des Moines, Iowa; nieces, Becky Kern and Gary, Lori Karr, Sheri Marian and Joe, and Kimberly Lovell and Cliff; nephew, Ken Schwieso and Brandy; and two very special great-nieces, Faith Kern and Emily Kern.

Cremation has taken place.

A memorial service for Kathryn will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 17, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Kalispell.

Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran School or the Glacier High School Band Uniform Fund.
