Softball: Loggers blanked by Broncs

FRENCHTOWN — In a matchup of Northwestern A softball powers, Frenchtown pulled out a 4-0 victory over the Libby Loggers on Thursday.

Frenchtown’s Morgan Ray held Libby to two hits. She fanned 14 batters and walked none.

Libby circle star Hannah England was as impressive. She allowed five hits, struck out eight and walked one batter.

Kaylee Prather drove in two Frenchtown runs in the second inning with a single and Kayla Blood followed two batters later with a triple and score Prather.

Frenchtown added a run in the fourth inning.

Madisen Monigold doubled for Libby. Dayln Germany had the other hit for the Loggers, a single.

Five different players had one hit each for Frenchtown.

Both teams will compete in the Butte Central Tournament, which begins today.
