Rosendale wrong for this native Montanan

As a native Montanan and veteran, I find myself a little more than irritated by someone who is neither. Matt Rosendale is a Maryland transplant that never served his country. He just so happens to be running for Montana’s lone congressional seat.

The problem I have with Matt is how he is running his campaign. Instead of talking about the issues that matter to Montanans, he is running a smear campaign against his opponents and shooting drones in commercials to appeal to our strong beliefs about gun ownership. The people of Montana see right through a pandering politician, though.

I think Montanans want to elect someone that is talking about issues that matter. We are currently tied for 49th in average wages paid, yet we sit on the greatest concentration of natural resources in the country. We need someone who will lead the charge to repeal Obamacare. And we need to address overspending and the deficit.

The Founders understood that being from somewhere mattered. That is why the Constitution prohibits anyone other than a natural-born citizen of the United States from holding the office of the presidency. Montana needs someone who understands this state and who will focus his efforts on the real problems we face here.
