Walk and roll event planned Wednesday

The Department of Veteran Affairs’ Montana Health Care System will host a VA2K Walk and Roll from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 21.

Walkers will start at the Kalispell Veterans Clinic at 31 Three Mile Dr., Suite 102. The public is invited.   

The event is to benefit homeless veterans and promote health and wellness.

In Montana there are currently about 600 homeless veterans.

Donations to homeless veterans would be welcome and may be brought to the clinic. Suggested donations include new track phones, phone cards and phone-related resources; lightly used or new socks, T-shirts, shoes, winter hats, gloves, coats (no other types of clothing items); reading glasses; hygiene items; mosquito repellent and sunscreen; lightly used or new sleeping bags; and nonperishable food items.
