Dogfight leads to $1,000 vet bill

A Meadows Road resident contacted the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office to report that his dog was attacked by a neighbor’s pit bull, leading to a $1,000-plus veterinarian bill, but decided not to pursue charges. Both dogs were running at large when the attack occurred.

A good Samaritan who tried to return a horse found loose on the railroad tracks to the owner was greeted by the owner yelling at the helpful passerby for trespassing then letting his dog out to chase the person. The horse got away again and was reportedly still loose on the railroad tracks.

A man was arrested after he was seen pushing a woman around “pretty hard” outside a U.S. 2 West gas station, including shoving her into the side of a semi-trailer that was being fueled up.

A Birch Grove Road man first called to report his stepson had threatened to kill him, then later called back to report his wife had assaulted him, punching him and throwing an Egg McMuffin at him.
