Golf: Eureka's Bohne takes 11th

ANACONDA — Eureka freshman Chase Bohne finished with an 81 on the final day of competition to place 11th at the Class B state golf championships at Fairmont Hot Springs Resort on Wednesday.

Bohne finished with a two-day total of 157 to finish one stroke outside the top 10, and 12 shots behind champion Phillip Holten of Columbus, who closed with a 74 to win by three strokes at 145.

Columbus also won the boys team title, ending a five-year run of team and individual championships by Missoula Loyola. The Rams finished second, as did Rams senior Tommy Tirrell.

Bigfork’s Colton Stodghill shot a final round 88 to finish at 173 for the tournament, in 41st place.

Townsend senior Bailee Dexter won the girls championship, leading the Bulldogs to their second straight team title. Dexter shot a two-day total of 158 to win by four strokes.
