Anonymous tips? Don't believe it

Life in this country now seems to be rooted in “control” — control of the herd. We have moved out of the subliminal message stage to simply inventing outrageous, but convenient, lies dressed up in adult clothes, and now masquerade them as the unquestionable truth.

It seems that Rory Horning, running for Lake County commissioner, must be a true and very real threat to the “good old boy” power structure entrenched in Lake County politics and to those who believe they wield influence within this tiny part of the world. So much that they needed to reach out and recruit the assistance of “mtcowgirl.com” in an attempt to bring down his bid for commissioner.

Why do they feel it necessary to mudsling as anonymous donors of untruths to the blog site? Why not just make their claims in the local newspapers with their name attached? Their attempt to submarine Mr. Horning’s campaign, in the home stretch, has been used successfully in the past on Mr. Kendley… so, I guess they go with what works.

You have to love the reference to “Local Cowgirl Tipsters.” Desperation breeds unique techniques, from the shadows. Why would these neighbors of yours attempt to hijack the free election process with an anonymous attack?

The article is simply fiction (creating fantasy in a vacuum). If it can’t stand the light of day, it must not hold the truth. The “local cowgirl tipsters” are your cowardly neighbors.

Vote for Horning and experience honest, open government.
