Garner is true conservative

I’ve known Frank Garner for 20-plus years. We’ve attended church together, and I’ve worked with him in my role as a volunteer at KRMC. I’ve seen him in action in his position as head of security at the hospital, and I know the kind of man he is, and I know that he’s a true conservative with the best interests of the Flathead Valley and Montana always on his mind.

He cares about the future of our state, and he has the leadership and drive to make him an effective leader in Helena.

I worked for both Jean A. Turnage, former president of the state Senate as well as chief justice of the Montana Supreme Court and John A. Mercer, speaker of the House, for over 20 years. Believe me, I know a conservative when I see one.

I have read with interest the words of a few politicians that want to offer their opinion. I was especially taken aback by a recent letter to the editor that referred to Frank as the “so-called conservative” in this race. I have known Frank long enough to know that he would represent the interests of the Republican Party.

It seems these politicians taking shots at Frank don’t think he is enough of a lemming for their taste. Are they afraid he will be more concerned about doing the right thing for the Flathead Valley than he is about doing what they want? I know Frank, and I can tell you he will keep our best interests in mind while still trying to promote conservative principles. He wants what’s best for his hometown and the people in it.

I support Frank Garner in his run for House District 7 and hope you will also support him.
