Marian Kelly, 83
Marian Kelly, 83, passed away on May 21, 2014, at Health Center Northwest in Kalispell after a long and fulfilling life. “She went to join her husband Chuck, parents and siblings.”
Marian was born to Gwendolyn and Warren McCallum on July 3, 1930, in Creston. She attended grade school in Lone Pine and high school at Flathead County High School. She married Charles “Chuck” Kelly on Nov. 15, 1947. Chuck worked road construction and Marian was a stay-at-home mom and wife. They lived in various places in Montana depending on where the work was. In 1965, they bought Evergreen Disposal and owned and operated it until 2006.
Chuck and Marian had two children, Charles Terry and Kathy Layne. While the kids were growing up, they enjoyed camping, fishing and traveling. Marian was a very active lady. She enjoyed walking every day, which she did until she had open heart surgery in 2012. She enjoyed playing bridge, taking care of her bluebird houses, and watching her hummingbirds. Her greatest times were spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Marion is survived by her son, Terry and wife, Jean, in Kalispell; her daughter, Kathy and husband, Mike Fritz from Rathdrum, Idaho; five grandchildren, Brett and Amy Kelly, and April and Jerry Snell from Kalispell, and Ryan and Lex Fritz, Kelly and Mary Fritz and Michelle Fritz from Rathdum; and 10 great-grandchildren, Hannah, Hailey, Aurora, Savaha, Peyton, Jori, Kyle, Kate, Klaire and Gwendolyn.
A visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27 at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 28 at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home. Burial will take place at 3 p.m. at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery in Kalispell.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the Flathead Food Bank or the Humane Society.
