Conservative responds to plan for crossover vote
I see where spring is finally here. The grass is green, the robins are looking for nesting material, and the dogs and horses are shedding their winter apparel.
It is also nearly primary election time. There’s a clear sign of that too. Bill Baum, or Grizzly Bill as he likes to be referred as, has emerged from hibernation and has once again condescended to enlighten all the poorly educated and misinformed conservatives with his wisdom.
This time he has decided guide us through the maze of candidates running on the Republican ticket for county commissioner. And which one does Bill endorse? Why Cal Scott, of course.
It is hardly a surprise that Bill has selected Cal. After all, in his short tenure as commissioner, Cal Scott has proven to be more liberal than conservative. I saw in his recent advertisement how he wants to hear from his constituents. Did he seek any opinions other than his own when he made his “non-endorsement” endorsement for the water compact? Absolutely not. Did he consider any other opinions after the fact? No.
Bill Baum did bring up one point worth considering. He suggests that Democrats should “crossover” vote during the primary and get the right Republican on the ballot for county commissioner. I think the Republicans should borrow this page from the Democrat playbook and cross over to ensure the right Democrat gets on the election ballot for senator. By that I mean one who is not a puppet for Harry Reid or another lapdog for Barack Obama. Having Tester begging for scraps at the table is more than enough!
