Eileen G. Maycumber, 89

Eileen G. Maycumber, 89, passed away peacefully “to be with our Lord,” on May 26, 2014, in Great Falls.

Eileen was born in 1924 in Libby. Following graduation from high school in Libby, she attended Sacred Heart Nursing School in Spokane and worked as a registered nurse. She married Guy Maycumber and raised five children.

Eileen was a devout Catholic, dedicated mother and grandmother. She lived and worked for years in Kalispell. Following her retirement from Kalispell Regional Medical Center in the 1990s, she enjoyed knitting, quilting and gardening.

She is survived by her sisters, Marie and Carol; brother, Loren; three children, Frank of Kalispell, Sharon of Woodland Park, Colo., and Marcia of Great Falls; along with six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ray; husband, Guy; sons, Leonard and Steven; and a granddaughter.

A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 7, at Saint Matthew’s Church, 605 South Main Street, Kalispell. A private inurnment is planned. A reception follows at Saint Matthew’s Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in her memory to: Northwest Montana Veterans Food Pantry, 1349 Highway 2 East, Kalispell, MT 59901.

Eileen was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
