Zinke will put his country first
I have never written an editorial before but read the editorial page daily, mostly for comic relief. I find the vastly differing opinions of people interesting, and some down right unbelievable.
Lately I have read some of the editorials blasting Ryan Zinke. This is why I feel compelled to say something. I have never met him personally but am impressed with his resume. I cannot understand why some politicians have to run their opponents down to make themselves look better. Seems like a self-esteem issue to me. It also sounds like they may be afraid that Mr. Zinke will not toe the party line and, God forbid, think and speak for himself and the citizens of Montana.
I for one am sick of politicians in general, both Democrat and Republican. I am tired of listening to their baloney. They make promises they have no intention of keeping and find a way to blame anyone but themselves for our country’s problems. It appears to me that all most of them care about is keeping their sweet Washington jobs.
It is my opinion that anyone who has made the personal sacrifices for our country that Mr. Zinke has should be given serious consideration. While most of our politicians were busy making money or spending money they inherited, Ryan Zinke was traveling to the most troubled parts of the world and putting himself in harm’s way. Not only that but he rose to the top of the special operations world, not by promises and double speak but by DOING and leading from the front.
In my opinion his courage, leadership, loyalty, and commitment to this state and country are not questionable. These traits alone put him far ahead of the other politicians I have seen running for office. His life seems to have demonstrated his willingness to put others and his country before himself. He certainly did not become a SEAL to get rich. It’s time we elect a DOER for a change!
