State A track: Whitefish's Schulz repeats in 400
BUTTE — Marlow Schulz of Whitefish defended her title in the 400-meter run on Friday, posting a winning time of 55.06 seconds at the Class A state track and field meet.
The senior was the lone individual winner from Northwestern A.
She also placed second in the long jump (16-0) to account for 18 of Whitefish’s 23 points. The Bulldogs are second in the team standings behind Corvallis, 57.
Whitefish’s Jed Nagler was second in the high jump (6-2) and teammate Sean Foley finished third in the pole vault (13-6).
Whitefish, 11, is seventh in the boys team standings. Hamilton, 35, tops the list.
Samantha Mundel had the best showing for Columbia Falls, finishing third in the 1,600 (5:17.07).
The meet concludes today.
