Vandals pelt house with paintballs
A Baker Avenue resident called the Whitefish Police Department after her house was pelted with paintballs. Presumably she gave out raisins for Halloween.
A caller reported a bear in the woods near some houses, and that he had also seen a young woman wearing a maroon cape and wielding a staff in the same woods. He heard the bear huffing and saw fresh scat, and did not see the witchy woman at the same time. Law enforcement did not speculate on the possibility of shapeshifters.
A caller reported hearing the sounds of a woman screaming for help near Whitefish City Beach. Officers searched the area but did not find anyone.
A bartender on Central Avenue reported a woman had come into the woman’s bathroom and shattered the mirror. The bartender didn’t want to press charges, but wanted officers to be aware in case she did it again. The caller did report she had to clean up blood in the bathroom, so the woman was likely injured.
The same woman who shattered the mirror was reportedly being beaten by a man and bleeding at a gas station on U.S. 93. She was left at the hospital.
A Fourth Avenue East North resident called the Columbia Falls Police Department after a loud diesel truck was left running outside for half an hour at 6 a.m. The caller didn’t see anybody around the truck, which was in his front yard.
An altercation between two men involving a knife was reported on Nucleus Avenue. The fight broke out and people began yelling “knife,” and the caller wisely left the scene before calling.
