Everett George Curtin, 58
Everett Curtin peacefully passed away at his home on Nov. 3, 2014, in Kalispell.
He was born July 27, 1956, in Kalispell to George and Jean Curtin.
He left school early to help his mom after his father had passed. He then traveled all throughout Idaho and Washington working at different local newspapers as a pressman. His favorite time and place was when he worked and lived in Seattle. When he spoke about this time in his life he would light up and tell you stories of his adventures and friends that he made there.
In July of 1983 he married Karen. Together they had three children Joshua, Nicholas and Becky, and raised them here in the valley.
Everett has many grandchildren, Chloe, Gabriel, Ashton, Abby, Allen, Maddy and Estella, who were his pride and joy. Being surrounded by his grandchildren was his heaven on earth.
His siblings are Lloyd, Dawn Taylor, Daniel and Tammy, and Warren. He also has several nieces, nephews and cousins who adored and loved him. His heart and soul belonged to his family.
He found the good in every person he met. He was always there for a shoulder to cry on, someone to talk to, or just an encouraging word. He was a friend to everyone no matter who you were.
Everett was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service for him will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Salvation Army Community Center, 110 Bountiful Drive in Kalispell, with a potluck to follow. Information about the potluck will be available at the time of the service.
