Daffy man goes buggy over noise

Kalispell Police received a strange phone call from a man on Blue Crest Drive early Saturday. The man told dispatchers that if something wasn’t done about his neighbors, he would go over there and “be the law,” saying there was a loud screeching noise coming from his neighbor’s place. He also said that his neighbor had bugged his house and listens to all of his phone calls. 

Someone reported that their Volkswagen van was broken into on Third Avenue East sometime in the last two weeks, and whoever broke in also “smoked weed” in the van. 

An intoxicated man was spotted stumbling into the roadway on Hutton Ranch Road around 9 a.m. Saturday. 

A skateboarder was stopped and told not to skateboard in the middle of the road on West Idaho Street on Saturday morning. 

Drug paraphernalia was found on Fourth Street West and turned in to police Friday afternoon. 

A former employee at a travel agency used a client’s credit card to book her own vacation. 

A customer at a local tire shop reported that a tire he left there may have been sold by an employee. 

A citizen on Empire Loop wanted to know what they could do about their neighbor’s dog “defecating on their lawn constantly.” 

A man reported that someone had been banging on his door on College Avenue on Friday evening and every time he went to answer it there was no one there. 

A woman was caught stealing from a Hutton Ranch Road store Friday night. 

A man called in saying that his uncle had heard his name on Crime Watch and wanted to know if police were looking for him. After giving his address to a dispatcher, he hung up when they confirmed that he had a warrant out for his arrest. When police called the number back, a man answered who claimed he was not the man with the warrant. 

A group of kids were spotted racing a golf cart around at a golf course Friday night. 

An intoxicated man was “trying to fight everybody” near Woodland Park. 

 

Someone reported a theft of a Nintendo Wii and two jewelry boxes from an Iowa Avenue home, according to Whitefish Police. 

A woman called police saying that her boyfriend had stolen some items from an Iowa Avenue location and told her to pawn them, but she didn’t know they were stolen. She turned in the items to the police. 

Two men were reportedly fighting over $20 on Central Avenue early Saturday morning. 

A woman stopped by the Columbia Falls Police Department on Friday afternoon to report a vehicle that had been parked near the entrance to her business with “someone sleeping in it.” An officer spoke with the owner of the vehicle, who was inside getting her hair done. 

A man reported that someone had stolen his stacked firewood from Sixth Avenue West sometime Wednesday or Thursday night. 

A white Honda SUV was spotted driving on Talbot Road with three teenagers riding on top of the vehicle Friday. 

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest on possession of dangerous drugs Friday on U.S. 93.  

The City of Kalispell will be picking up roll-out containers as usual on Tuesday. There will be no disruption in service for Veterans Day.
