No score for Hill on last ride at Canadian Finals Rodeo
EDMONTON, Alberta — Beau Hill came up empty during Sunday’s final performance of bull riding at the Canadian Finals Rodeo at Rexall Place.
Hill was bucked off Sheep Creek to claim no score.
The West Glacier cowboy drew six bulls during the five-day event and posted three marks.
Hill made the whistle with Blue Zone on Saturday night with an 84.25 total. That was good for fourth place.
He was bucked off Gator during Saturday’s matinee session.
On Friday night, Hill had the fifth best ride, 85.50, aboard Heaven’s Basement.
Two bull riders had 87-point rides that night and two turned in 86s.
Hill was bucked off on opening night, but came back with an 84.75 score on Team Paige on Thursday. That was the third-best mark of that performance.
Hill earned $9,689.80 at the finals, which put his total earnings for the season at $38,453.88. That was good for sixth place.
Hill came into the competition fourth in season earnings.
Dakota Buttar, of Kindersley, Saskatchewan, rode five bulls and topped the money list at the finals with $35,125.52. He finished first in season earnings with $82,809,67.
Tyler Pankewitz of Ponoka, Alberta, was the other bull rider with five-scoring rides.
Hill will compete in the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas next month.
