State volleyball: Wolfpack vs. West; Flathead has Senior

The top-ranked Glacier Wolfpack opens Class AA state volleyball action Thursday versus Billings West at 2 p.m.

Glacier (23-1) is the No. 1 seed from Western AA. West (15-13) is the fourth seed from Eastern AA.

Flathead (13-10), making its 12th straight state appearance, faces Billings Senior (28-1) at 4 p.m. in the final first-round game of the day.

The Bravettes are the third seed from Western AA. Senior is the No. 2 seed from Eastern AA.

If Glacier and Flathead win their first-round matches, they would face off in an 8 p.m. match on Thursday.

Columbia Falls (15-1) starts Class A state play versus Lewistown on Thursday at 4 p.m. The Wildkats have advanced to state play the last three seasons.

All state volleyball action will be held at Brick Breeden Fieldhouse on the campus of Montana State University in Bozeman. The tournaments for Classes AA, A, B and C run through Saturday.
