The storied C.M. Russell football program visits Kalispell tonight trying to win the 14th state title in the school’s history.

They face the undefeated Glacier Wolfpack, trying to write a new chapter in the Kalispell school’s young history and win its first-ever football title.

Game time is 7 p.m. at Legends Stadium for the first Class AA title game to be played in Kalispell since 1980.

Glacier rolls into the title game with a 12-0 record; CMR is 10-2, with one of those losses coming at the hands of the Wolfpack during the second week of the season.

Glacier relies on a high-flying offense averaging 50 points a game and a stingy defense that has allowed only 14 points a game.

The Rustlers will counter with an attack featuring the state’s top running back, Andrew Grinde.

The title game will be preceded by a pep rally at 2:45 p.m. in the Glacier High School Commons Area, a police escort of the Wolfpack down Main Street at 4:30 p.m. and a chili feed starting at 5:30 p.m. at Legends Stadium.

Tonight’s game will be broadcast online for $9.95 on www.nfhsnetwork.com.

Game-time weather
