Burglars busy rifling through cars Wednesday

 Several reports of vehicles being rifled through or broken into were received by the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday morning. Calls came in from Shadow Lane, Cooperative Way and Margrethe Road in Kalispell.

A man was found passed out behind the wheel — possibly drunk — in a school parking lot in Somers on Tuesday morning.

Monday’s mischievous man who hopped into a snowplow and claimed to be with the FBI was asked to leave his Columbia Falls motel Tuesday morning. He refused and began to run back and forth in front of the motel while yelling. Apparently he was repeatedly tripping and falling as he ran around and tried to get his car started. He was arrested, but not before allegedly trying to sell drugs to another motel guest.

A Kalispell woman asked officers to give her 11-year-old son a talking-to about the consequences of his actions after he stole her iPad and took it to school, where he also got in trouble.

A man reported that he was being chased by a man from Pennsylvania named “Joseph” who had an “inhibitor launcher” and was from the Marine Corps.

A man said that his son walked into a public restroom at a Shady Lane location in Kalispell to see two men and a woman smoking meth Tuesday night.

Kalispell Police were called when a 10-year-old boy choked on a piece of bacon Tuesday night. Before police arrived, he was able to cough it up and refused any medical assistance.

A snow-plow driver working on North Main Street on Wednesday morning had a man throwing snow and other objects at his plow.

An intoxicated man in his 20s was reportedly going in and out of consciousness at an Airport Road bar Tuesday night and had told his friends that he “took something.”

A woman was hit by a car while riding her bike on Third Avenue East on Tuesday afternoon. She suffered bruising to her legs but was otherwise OK.

A man called Columbia Falls Police on Tuesday evening saying that the neighbors living in the apartment below his bang on the ceiling every time his kids start playing and that he was getting very frustrated with them.

A man found his stolen Xbox 360 at a local pawn shop.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest on possession of drug paraphernalia just after midnight Tuesday and caught another person shoplifting Tuesday afternoon.

Whitefish Police were called when a man living on Lost Coon Trail found a deer on his property that had been shot on Tuesday afternoon. He was thinking it’d been poached.
