The Flathead County Board of Adjustment on Oct. 7 will consider two permit applications, both in the Evergreen enterprise overlay in the county’s general business zone.

The county commissioners approved the new interim enterprise zone for Evergreen last year to help diversify business uses along Evergreen’s highway corridors. The change allowed a variety of light industrial uses in addition to the commercial business zones along U.S. 2 and Montana 35.

MontanaSky Networks has asked for a conditional-use permit to amend a previously approved permit for a transmission tower on an Evergreen lot.

The business wants to move the tower from the permitted area to an alternate location about 112 feet to the south, at 2185 U.S. 2 East.

Zane Lindsay and Samantha Conner have asked for a conditional-use permit to establish multiple principal uses on an Evergreen lot. They propose to add an auto repair shop and a coffee kiosk at 2624 U.S. 2 East.

The Board of Adjustment will hold public hearings on both requests. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, in the second-floor conference room of the Earl Bennett Building, 1035 First Ave. W. in Kalispell.
